SOUR CREAM AND ONION CRUSTED CHICKEN TENDERS

Serves: 6-8 tenders
Ingredients
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1½ pounds of skinless chicken breast tenderloins
  • 3½ cups of ruffles sour cream potato chips (More if needed)
  • ½ cup of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅓ cup Crema (I used Salvadorean blend) or sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons honey
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Line large baking pan with foil. Coat with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Coat chicken tenders in flour shaking off excess. Then drip chicken tenders in egg mixture drip off excess.
  4. Transfer chicken strips to chip mixture rolling and pressing to coat.
  5. Place chicken strips on the prepared pan leaving space between each strip.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until chicken is crisp and no longer pink, turning after 5 minutes.
Notes
Dipping Sauce:

⅓ cup Crema (Salvadorean blend) or sour cream
2 teaspoons honey
